Tim L. Johnson - (president/owner), a graduate of Erskine College, in Due West, SC started his construction career through his Uncle who was a licensed contractor in the South Carolina upstate for many years. His Uncle, to this day believes that building a home requires skill and sweat with the use of hammers and nails and without the use of air operated tools. Tim literally got his start from the "ground up" building foundation walls for various contractors in the Hendersonville, NC area. From there he has grown with his own crew skilled in stick construction, doing the complete framing and finishing work. Being an "Unlimited Residential Licensed Contractor", for the past decade, he has successfully developed a "Frame to Finish - With Care and Quality" mission statement, which provides for satisfied clients throughout the Western North Carolina area.

Tim comes from a family owned business background. He is unique in ways such as a quiet confidence, laid back, easy to relate too, great communicator and level headed. Tim keeps a great knowledge of current market trends which is ever changing. He also has strong reliable relationships with his subs and suppliers which builds on his reputation within the industry.

Myra Hargrove - (architectural designer), With a B.S. in Interior Design and over 15 years in the commercial and residential design industries Myra brings experience, creativity, and technical expertise to our team. As a project and design studio manager with a nationally recognized design firm headquartered in Atlanta, GA. she developed her vision for innovative solutions, quality client focused designs, and the excellent communication skills needed to interface the needs of architects, builders, developers, and homeowners. A native tarheel and a resident of Flat Rock NC for the past 10 years, Myra has been with HHB team for two years and understands and creatively implements the values and lifestyle choices of our clients and their dreams for mountain living.

Phil Shook - (manager of field operations, master carpenter), Phil, a native of the Western North Carolina has for the past several years contributed to the sucess of Highland Home Builders, LLC. With his knowledge of building homes from the ground up for the past 25 years, his expertise in reading blue prints and joining that with a nail and hammer, he has contributed greatly to the Highland Home team. He knowledge has certainly added the words "master carpenter" to his strong resume.
